Worldplay at Work

The Worldplay Project, launched in 2002, sought to compare worldplay in sample groups of two populations: MacArthur Fellows and Michigan State University students. Results indicated that MacArthur Fellows invented imaginary worlds in childhood at about twice the rate of MSU students. Many Fellows also reported mature worldplay at work in fields across the arts and sciences, in the humanties, social sciences and public interest professions.
